White Collar "Home Invasion" Nitpicks

Season 1, Episode 11 Air Date: February 9, 2010

When you watch a program over and over, you start to notice minor continuity issues, plot oversights and other goofs. This page is not intended to be a criticism aimed toward the show or anyone who works on White Collar. They produce a great show and should be proud of their work. That's why I titled it "Nitpicks" because to nitpick means "to be overly critical or criticize minor details." If it bothers you, please don't read them. This page is intended to be for people who love watching something and going "I never noticed that..."

Liars or Thieves? Alex asks Neal if he's finally admitting he never had the music box, but then the two talk about how close they were to stealing it? If they tried to steal it together and failed, wouldn't she know he didn't have it?

Mine! Mine! Mine! When Neal and Peter first introduce the elephants, Neal the Chinese Empress gave gifts to ambassadors from all over the world. The elephants were broken up and sold separately. Then someone from the Japanese Embassy comes in to say that the elephants were stolen from them. This seems like a goof. What the episode seems to fail to say was that the five elephants were a gift to the Japanese ambassador and not that each ambassador got a jade elephant. Otherwise, the Japanese would not be able to claim all five elephants.

Pick a Side! When Peter arrives at Neal's apartment, he messes with the chess set. In the close ups, the black pieces are on the right, but in the long shots the black pieces are on the left.

Hearing Problems? Pierce heard Alex say Neal's last name in the bar but didn't hear her mention he's with the FBI?
