White Collar "Flip of the Coin" Nitpicks

Season 1, Episode 4 Air Date: November 13, 2009

When you watch a program over and over, you start to notice minor continuity issues, plot oversights and other goofs. This page is not intended to be a criticism aimed toward the show or anyone who works on White Collar. They produce a great show and should be proud of their work. That's why I titled it "Nitpicks" because to nitpick means "to be overly critical or criticize minor details." If it bothers you, please don't read them. This page is intended to be for people who love watching something and going "I never noticed that..."

Just a Hair: When Neal is on the couch talking with the publicist (at the studio), her hair switches between hanging loose and tucked behind her ear.

It's all Geography: Neal refers to the "the royal cemetery crypts of Ur in Egypt." However, Ur is in Modern Iraq and it is a royal tomb, not a crypt. A crypt is defined as a stone chamber or vault beneath the floor of a church

It Seems Longer: Dana says Alisha Teagan called "called about a month ago." John's only been back a month, so wouldn't that part be obvious?

I'm a Fast Healer: When Burke first meets Aimes, the bodyguard has splash blisters on his left arm. But at the end of the episode, when the bodyguard draws his gun at the museum, the blisters are gone. And while we're talking about the splash blisters, you really can't avoid them when melting down gold? Not even if you wore gloves or a heavy shirt?

Light Gold! Before Aimes is being put into a black SUV, a female agent can be seen unpacking a large "gold" item from a straw-flle crate. The item bobbles as if made of polystyrene rather than gold.

Coffee Anyone? At the studio, Neal manages to get eight cups of coffee pretty fast. He is only a few steps behind the Alicia.
